Steps to preventing Obesity
The United Sates is famous for being first in many things such as first to the moon, first in the gold standings this past Olympics, but being first in the obesity ratings is something we are not proud of. The United States has the highest obesity rating in the world, and continues to grow as the years go by. The United States has implemented many regulations towards stopping this but not all states support these ideas this is why each state should implement restrictions as far as the foods, and drinks sold in their states. As the adults are affected so are the children of the United States which only carry on the epidemic of obesity throughout the generations. We as a nation need to put a stop to this growing problem.
The states have many regulations and laws for many things that are dangerous to the public’s health but as far as health and over eating there is no such thing in every state. The government has implemented regulations as far as school lunches and their nutrition away from their homes. But there is no way of regulating what they eat at their homes and weather they are getting the correct nutrients and not just eating fast food every night. These are the things our government cannot account for but the states can regulate the amount of fast food consumed by its residences.
The state legislature needs to make changes and we as a community need to let them know how important this problem actually is. If there is no change and we as a community do not make a stand our children and the next generation will suffer.
